Posco Argentina's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions in Catamarca were mainly focused on supporting the health of communities during the COVID-19 health pandemic.
Within the framework of CSR activities, Posco Argentina works continuously with its communities of influence. In this sense, POSCO´s CS visited the community of Ciénaga Redonda on April 10, where a clinical and dental health check was provided for adults and children of the community, it also was given a gynecological talk and training in the use of a blood pressure monitor, thermometer and oximeter.
The advent of the pandemic made it difficult for the inhabitants of the Ciénaga Redonda and its surroundings to access medical controls. In response to this need, Posco Argentina scheduled a visit to the community, which was previously approved by Jésica Casimiro, Municipal Delegate.
During the visit, which was fulfilled with the complete safeguard and respect of the socio-sanitary protocols, a doctor and a dentists o provided a clinical and dental health check for adults and children of the community.
Likewise, a gynecological talk was given for the women, where they spoke about hygiene and personal care, prevention of Uterine Cervical Cancer, pregnancy, fertilization and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
Finally, Posco Argentina donated a blood pressure monitor, an oximeter and a thermometer. Those instruments will allow a better control of home health in the community. Likewise, a course on its use, recording and interpretation of the results was given.
Our management philosophy "building a better future together" urges us, on the one hand, to work with justice, ethics and transparency, pursuing cooperation and mutual growth from a culture of consideration and respect. We confidently hope that our actions result in mutual understanding and the common good.
